We are committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors while they interact with the content and material on this Site. This Privacy Policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us when you visit this Site or in any other business communications or online or offline business interactions, This Privacy Policy applies to this Site only. It does not apply to other websites to which we link. What Information do We Collect?

How do we Collect Information From You?

Collection Methods in general.

We collect information through this Site, email, mail, phone, mobile devices, mobile applications and/or social media applications (such as our Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram pages) where our customers and other interested persons interact with us. Some examples of how this occurs is when customers:

  • Visit this Site and use our services;

  • Place an order;

  • Participate in our forums, surveys, contests, sweepstakes, promotions, content submissions, chats, bulletin boards, discussion groups, requests for suggestions, and membership registrations; and

  • Engage in other activities, services, products and resources we make accessible to our customers, members or users.

As is true of most websites, all information that you provide directly to us when placing an order or participating in a survey, etc., will be collected by us. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, device information, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages (through online advertisements or sponsored search results for example), files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends and administer our Site. We may collect this information even if an order, registration, or other process is started but not completed or is otherwise cancelled (in order for you to retrieve prior intended purchases in your shopping basket, or receive offers that may be personalized and targeted to your favorite products).

B. How we use "Cookies" and "Action Tags."

A "cookie" is a small data file sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer. We use cookies to let us know that you are a prior customer, user or member and to provide certain features to you. Most web browsers allow you to instruct the browser to prevent the use of cookies. However, if you disable this feature, certain aspects of our Site and our services, such as the shopping basket, may not function properly.

Cosmab’s relationships with third parties who may collect or receive information directly from the cookies placed by our Site or our services on your computer to assist in analyzing our business and customers.

Cosmab’s site may also use a common web technology called "action tags" (also called single pixel gifs or web beacons) to track purchase, usage and other web activity information. Action tags may be used to provide data to third parties. In addition, third parties may set their own cookies and tags through our Site (such as through interest-based advertising, described below). We do not control such third parties or their privacy practices. If you do not want third parties to be able to use such methods, you should modify your browser settings to limit such access.

C. Interest-based advertising.

Cosmab collects data from you for use in interest-based advertising when you use our Site and/our services. Other companies may serve interest-based advertisements on our site. We comply with the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising as administered by the Digital Advertising Alliance located at aboutads.info. Interest-based advertisements for our products and services may appear on third-party websites around the Internet. This is not based upon your personal information (such as your name or email address), but rather, upon your online activities.

Opting Out. You may opt-out of being tracked online by certain companies who are listed at aboutads.info or at networkadvertising.org and you may also learn more about online behavioral advertising at such websites. After withdrawing your consent at any of the mentioned websites, you will still receive generic advertisements, but advertisements will not be delivered to you based upon the data possessed by those companies from whom you have opted-out.

D. Mobile - Push Notifications.

For customers and/or users who download our mobile application, we may from time-to-time send you push notifications to your device in order to communicate with you and inform you of current attractive personalized offers and promotions. To ensure that you receive timely notification of such communications and promotions, we need to collect certain information from your device as indicated above. If, at any time, you do not wish to receive these types of communications, you will be able to turn them off from the device application. 

E. Mobile - Analytics.

Cosmab may use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile application on your device. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, usage, performance data, and the source from which the application was downloaded. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information you submit within the mobile application. 

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?     

We use the information you provide us where it is in our legitimate interest to do so for the following purposes: 

  • To contact you and respond to your requests and inquiries;

  • To contact you regarding matters that are relevant to the information we collect form you;

  • To personalize your visit and use of this Site and to assist you while you use this Site;

We are committed to protecting the information we receive from you. Please note that we cannot guaranty that our safeguards will always work. We cannot enforce or control the security of devices and networks that you may use to submit information to us. We are not responsible for the disclosure or interception of your information before we receive it.     

By using this Site and thereby agreeing to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, you agree that no data transmitted over the Internet is completely secure, and that any information you transmit to us is at your own risk. We cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you provide to us.  

Do We Disclose Any Information to Outside Parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any outside parties except under very limited circumstances. Those circumstances include disclosures to data processors and other trusted third parties who assist us in operating this Site, conducting our business or providing services to you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. 

We use third-party web analytics services such as Google Analytics to help us analyze how visitors use this Site. We may permit these third parties to directly access the Site, use their own technology (such as cookies or web beacons), and collect information about you on our behalf.  The information these third parties collect may track information about your online activities over time and across different websites. Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to websites and online services you visit. However, there is no consensus among industry participants as to what “Do Not Track” means in this context. Like the operators of many websites, we currently do not alter our practices when we receive a “Do Not Track” signal from a visitor’s browser. We do de-identify and aggregate information to improve the design and function of this Site and for our internal business and administrative purpose. We may also share de-identified aggregated data with third parties for any purpose so long as it contains no personally identifiable information.

How Can You Unsubscribe from Email and Other Communications 

If you would like to unsubscribe from emails and other communications from us, you may do so at any time. The footers of our emails will have a tab you can click to unsubscribe. You may also contact us directly to unsubscribe by sending an email to customerservice@cosmab.com.  We will make commercially reasonable efforts to implement your opt-out requests promptly, but you may still receive communications from us for up to ten business days as we process your request.    

How Can you Withdraw Consent to the Use of Your Personal Information

You may withdraw your consent for our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information at any time subject to our legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable advance notice.  As such, we may continue to collect, use and disclose your personal information as may be required  to continue to provide you with services we are contractually obligated to provide or to enforce any contractual obligations you have to us. If you refuse to provide us with information we need or later contact us to withdraw your consent to use and disclose your personal information, we may not longer be able to provide you with our services. Children

In order to respect the privacy of minors, we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or process personal information submitted online via this Site by anyone under the age of 18. If you are not 18 or older, you are not authorized to use this Site. Parents should be aware that there are parental control tools available online that can be used to prevent children from submitting information online without parental permission or from accessing material that is or may be harmful to minors.

The Site does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and invitation reminders. Recipients of invitations may contact the Site to request removal of their information from our database.
